INDIAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

It was a great relief to see the call for a ‘cease fire’ as the sun set in the west today. Two nuclear nations decided to give peace another chance. This was tweeted by my friend Blackie as she blew the bugle to retreat for the day.

Having known the consequences of war and having studied Pakistan minutely who has now raised the white flag, I am very disappointed. Having served along the western border for more than half my service and watched “Nark” (Pakistan as we call them in the Army) and understanding their psyche, baat kuch hazam nahi hui.

To my mind, it is too premature to accept this to be true. They are ‘crooks’ of the highest order. My fingers are crossed, as the trust deficit is too deep to fill.

One thing is clear that Pakis were pushed to the wall after suffering losses beyond what they could afford. The pounding from all dimensions done by the Indian Armed forces was so heavy that they understood the consequences of holding on to their ‘false ego’. Now that they know what mettle India is made of, they decided to offer a surrender as I call it. Good for them.

There is a saying which my mom used to tell me about liars. If I juxtapose it here it would be like, “agar Pakistan jalte tave par bhi khara ho kar, haath jor kar mafi mange, vo apni gandi kartoot karne se baaz nahi ayega”.

Let me leave my dissatisfaction aside. What should be Pakistan made to agree while sitting across the table for everlasting peace. India should now tell them in no uncertain terms that they do not open their dirty mouths again. Terms are conditions are given as under: -

1.      Stop use of terrorism as part of their state policy, meaning calling the jehadis as terrorists.

2.      Close all terrorist camps and support to all their organisations with immediate effect. Any such organisation reported would be destroyed with impunity with no question asked by India.

3.      We will decide on how the Indus Water Treaty shall work henceforth. Or else it is in abeyance and will be regulated by us. Accept it or get lost.

4.      Vacate POK and move to your side of the Radcliffe line within the next one month. If people want to stay with us, let them say so. Our boundary dispute ends thereafter.

5.      The Kashmir issue will never be raised in any forum after a date mutually agreed to. Just forget about it and swallow your ego. If acceptable, let us talk.

6.      Siachen Glacier, Sir Creek, and all other boundary disputes will be as India lays the rules of the game. Period.

7.      Unless we have the most favoured nation status within a year of observing your traits, trade will start with Pakistan. Otherwise, forget it.

8.      Tell your people the truth about falsehoods being spread by the Army. Tell Gen Munir to retire and evaporate from Pakistan.

9.      Work on your economy, education, healthcare etc and we will give you peace on your eastern borders to assist you. Do not violate the ceasefire or else face our wrath.

10.   Relieve Baluchistan and accept the two-nation theory with them. They were never part of you, so let them govern themselves. It will relieve you from a lot of debt to repay. Accept trade with them, both countries will benefit.

11.   Engage your forces to fight terrorism troubling your country, leave us alone or we shall add salt to your wounds which would cause more harm to Pakistan.

12.    Denuclearise in the next one year and declare Pakistan a non nuclear state. You don’t need it as you cannot compete with India. We have shown our prowess conventionally, let it sink in.

This is not a final list, it can be amended as when required, if Pakistan behaves.

Now get working out your modus operandi for a ‘Naya Pakistan’. Restore real democracy and kick the uniform and its dominance out of your system to prosper and breathe.

Too many bombs have been exchanged. Do not escalate or else the Sindoor which we know what it represents would be wiped off your foreheads without doubt.

I feel good for the Armed forces; they would be relieved. But they have a few seasons to stay under the open skies deployed on the borders. My prayers and salute go out for you guys, take care, be cautious and no complacency with these unpredictable people. We are proud of you.

I wish we would have finished OP Sindoor on a greater high. It has been proven that “peace comes from the power of the gun”.

We are ready for “OP Tandoor”. Will Pakistan agree to the above terms and conditions without a single round being fired? I wonder!!!!!!

  1. Noel thanks for your elucidating conditions for Pak to follow. I feel they will never give up their mischief attitude. But we may see some changes in their conduct going ahead. We need to monitor them very closely....

FINGER ON YOUR LIPS

LT COL NOEL ELLIS   29/IV/2025   What has happened to Pakistan? While India is doing Fauji Exercises, Pakistan has mobilised for what! I agree that the people of India want revenge. But, from whom? Our PM has only said that “we will not leave the terrorists and their supporters till the end of the Earth”. He has never said he will sort out Pakistan, or has he?   It has been hilarious watching discussions on Paki social media channels. They seem to have already given up. Our RM meets the PM and Pakistan starts shitting bricks. They talk about jazba and gazwa, and start telling us about their nuclear arsenal. 160 I suppose. By the way we will send across one equivalent to your 160 if need be.   There is a saying, ‘Chor ki Dari main tinka” literal meaning is, a straw in a thief’s beard. However, the deep meaning is that a guilty person reveals his guilt through his behaviour, even unintentionally. Clearly, “a guilty conscious needs no accuser”...

IF THERE IS A WAR…...

LT COL NOEL ELLIS   28/IV/2025   I remember the 1971 war as a small child. We were in Kapurthala Punjab, very close to the Pakistan border. It was an evening in December, I do not remember the exact date. While returning from a friends house, the declaration of war was done as I skipped along the ‘Thandi Sarak’ of Kapurthala.   The gist was that a vehicle with loud speakers was telling people to head home as an "emergency" had been declared and war had started. I ran as fast as I could, shivering with fear and my heart beating unusually fast. Though I was a lap baby when the 1965 war had taken place, it appeared serious business now.   Overnight, Dad and other Uncles started digging trenches infront of our homes. Carbon paper was no dearth in a teachers house, so mom got into an overdrive to stick them to the glass windows. Though the glass had been painted during the 1965 war, some broken panes had been replaced. Mom told ...

SCENE AT ELLIS’ RESTAURANT

LT COL NOEL ELLIS   04/XI/2024   Every morning the scene in the Ellis’ restaurant is so refreshing. The notes birds sing sounds like ‘reveille’ being sounded by the buglers. The ‘scenario’ keeps varying with arrival of different birds at different timings.   It is like being a restaurant owner, working solo with minimum help. Yours truly is the waiter, housekeeper, cook, receptionist, barman, purchase manager, accountant, and storekeeper of this shack. Imagine!   Foremost thing in the morning is housekeeping of the garden area, followed by watering the pots. This gives the plants a nice bath, like kids being readied for school.   The first set of ‘clients’ called the ‘Tailor Birds’ appear. They love to hunt for insects which get disturbed by the watering ritual. They sing and dance, hop and skip and carry on chasing moths and worms, without bothering about my presence.   By then the Bulbuls and the Sparrows start lini...
